During the European leg of the ‘Turn It On Again Tour’ (one of the most successful tours of 2007) Tony, Phil and Mike (along with with Daryl and Chester) played a series of Stadiums ending with a spectacular concert in Rome in front of 500,000 fans at the beautiful Circo Massimo on 14 July. This final European date was captured in all its glory by director David Mallet
This 2 hour 40 minutes show, featuring Genesis classics such as ‘Land Of Confusion’ and ‘Mama’ to older Genesis repertoire ‘Los Endos’, ‘Carpet Crawlers’ and the haunting ‘Ripples’, is presented over two DVD’s packed with deleted scenes, photo gallery and tour programme. Additionally, each track gives access to visual extras relating to each song on the DVD
The Turn It On Again production featured the largest screen ever used at a concert spanning 64 metres. The set was designed by world famous Mark Fisher and the spectacular lighting show, the work of genius Patrick Woodroffe
In addition to the concert, ‘When In Rome 2007’ features a third DVD devoted to an extraordinary fly-on-the-wall documentary filmed from the inception of the tour back in 2006 to the last date in Rome by film-maker Anthony Mathile. This runs for a full 1 hour 50 minutes. Entitled ‘Come Rain Or Shine’ the documentary is an in-depth and humorous look into the dynamics of life on the road and the mechanics, decisions and presentation of a legendary band on tour for the first time in 15 years
‘When In Rome 2007’ is beautifully packaged in a slip cased three panel DVD digi-pak with a central double tray for the two concert discs. The right panel pocket holds the documentary disc, with a 28-page booklet with central gatefold spread housed in the left panel pocket
