With a career spanning 38 years and sales of 130million records, Genesis’ played their final show as the line-up of Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford in November 1992, by which stage they had recorded 13 studio albums and played 1433 live shows, to a total of 14,883,739 people

In November 2006, the moment that Genesis fans had been waiting for arrived, as they came together again to announce their first tour for 15 years. The Turn It On Again 22-date tour, which kicked off in Finland on 11 June 2007, saw Genesis, play to a staggering 1.4 million fans ending with a show in front of 500,000 at Rome’s Circo Massimo

“Live Over Europe 2007” – a double disc release - is the result of this hugely successful "Turn It On Again" 2007 European tour. Featuring the very best performances of 18 tracks across 8 European shows including "Mama" recorded in Dusseldorf, "Throwing It All Away" in Paris and the 10 minute "Domino" performed in front of 500,000 people in Rome. Older Hackett era songs include “Ripples” from Prague and “Carpet Crawlers” from Manchester

This is the ‘Special Edition’, as described by EMI Records, which includes a 24 page booklet with centre gatefold spread, and a card slipcase. This is the edition which is being sold throughout the UK. The ‘Normal Edition’ has a 16 page booklet with no gatefold spread or slipcase and may be available in other territories

‘Live Over Europe 2007’ was recorded on the road and was produced and mixed by long-term Genesis producer Nick Davis

The album pre-empts the release in February 2008 of “When In Rome - Genesis Live 2007” – the DVD of the complete concert, plus full length documentary and behind the scenes footage filmed on the road
