2 years after the release of Genesis Archives Part One, Virgin Records conclude their retrospective collections of Genesis work with Archive # 2 1976 - 1992. Concentrating on the Collins era, when the band transformed its' UK based success into effective world dominance, the box set includes rarities, b-sides, 12" mixes and a number live gems.
Put together with the full co-operation of the band, the box spans the period 1976 to the departure of Phil Collins. From the post Gabriel Wind & Wuthering recordings to the highs of Invisible Touch right through to the superstardom of We Can't Dance, the 3 CD's cover the years when Genesis penetrated the musical world in a way few bands had done before, or will do again.
Packaged in a Long Box, the 64 page booklet contains previously unseen photos (including the work of Armando Gallo), a foreword by Tony Banks and essay by Hugh Fielder. Much of the music has never before been released on CD, including a work in progress version of Mama.
